We continue North via Pitlochry and Inverness before arriving at our second overnight stay, at the Strathpeffer Hotel, before boarding the cruise tomorrow.

We will board the MV Homnavoe cruise in Scrabster, Thurso at midday and depart for the 90 minute sailing past Britain’s highest vertical cliffs and the Old Man of Hoy. We arrive in Stromness, where we meet our local guide. The afternoon will be spent touring the island. Visit the World Heitage sites of Skara Brae, Stones of Stenness, Ring of Brodgar, plus Skaill House, Churchill Barriers, Italian Chapel and Scapa Flow. The choice is yours for this evening’s meal at one of the local restaurants. We will then depart Kirkwall for Lerwick on an overnight sailing.

Arrive in Lerwick, on the island of Shetland in the morning and enjoy breakfast on board. We will depart the ship for a day tour of the island with a local guide. Visit the outstanding site of Jarlshof in the south and Scalloway Castle. Enjoy an evening meal on board, then settle into your cabin for an overnight sailing to Aberdeen.

The cruise will arrive in Aberdeen at 7am. Breakfast will be enjoyed on board, before disembarking and beginning our journey home. We will stop at Gretna Green to get those all-important souvenirs, before heading to the Legacy Hotel, Preston, for our overnight stay.
